Thank you for volunteering to help with our Parents Play!  Recess program at Grovecrest!

Friday Lunch Recess Schedule:
1st & 2nd Grade: 11:30-12:10
3rd & 4th Grade: 11:55-12:35
5th & 6th Grade: 12:20 -1:00

If you have time and can stay for afternoon recess to play again, the kids would love it!
1st-3rd Grade: 1:45-2:00
4th-6th Grade: 2:00-2:15

Here's a few things to remember:
1.  If you can't make it to your assigned day, please cancel the Sign-up Genius or let the office or Janna Hubert (801-836-2009) know. 

If it is bad weather, you don't need to come.  They usually don't call for an inside recess until the last minute, and we'd hate for you to make a 

trip to the school for no reason. You can also call the office to find out for sure. 

2. Check in at the office first to get your volunteer badge before getting your game supplies downstairs.

3. Game equipment can be found in the closet next to the teacher's copy room downstairs. Get an orange vest on and choose the games you'd like to take out in the blue tubs. If it is one of Coach Folsom's game ideas, you can check with him upstairs for supplies if we don't have it in the closet. Please return items right after recess.  Most of this equipment has been donated by other parents, and we would hate for it to be misplaced or taken home so that it's unavailable for other parents to use.

**Chalk and bubbles should be available in one of the tubs--thanks to kind parent donations.  The bubble wands usually need to be 

refilled several times. The chalk might need to be "rationed" out so that there's some left for the upper grades. They are a big hit with the kids! 

We always welcome to give donations if you feel inclined!

4. When you go out to the playground, check-in with one of the recess aides. Depending on the games you've chosen to play, you will be 

on the main blacktop area or else on the field near the entrance gate. If you've brought your own game, ask the recess aides where is best 

to set it up.  We have limited space on the field, and they know the best areas for you.
